This is a question we are asked a lot. Let us help break it down. 4G is best suited to those in rural areas with no connection to wifi. This includes ranches, stations and farms. A seperate SIM card must be purchased from your local sim provider such as Telstra etc. WiFi is best suited for those in homes with connection to their modem/router that hosts your home's WiFi. If you think your camera spot won't connect, try and see if another device still can connect from that location. If not, 4G is the way to go.
Each camera lens (bottom and top) are 2 million pixels each. This combines to create a 4 million pixel resolution as its dual lens. This is slightly better than 2K resolution. It’s plenty clear enough to pick up all the detail you need.
If you have purchased 4G cameras, you must provide your own SIM card. We recommend 5-10GB a month pay as you go. Make sure if you are rural that these providers reach your area. You can check on their respective websites. SIM cards are not included and your 4G cam will not function without one. WiFi cams do not need a SIM Card. We provide you with an SD card which is for video storage.
The camera comes with brackets and screws for you to mount it anywhere. Simply drill the holes required and screw in.
The camera offers visibility beyond 30 metres and can detect motion up to 20 metres. It features a dual-lens system — one lens provides a fixed wide-angle view to capture the entire scene, while the second is a pan, tilt, and zoom (PTZ) lens with a motorized ball bearing. This PTZ lens lets you remotely adjust the camera’s angle and zoom through the app, allowing you to focus on specific areas in greater detail.
The app supports as many cameras as you’d like on one easy to use page. Devices can be shared to other family members, business members or employees.
The camera needs charging with a USB C cable (not included) for 8 hours before use to give the solar panel a headstart. Once charged properly, the camera is ready to go on solar for good.
Solar power can still operate in overcast days as there is still light. Neverthless, if for whatever reason the panel wasn't charging the camera, the built in battery can last for days on end with no solar power. The Guardian uses adaptive recording functions -minimising power waste where possible.
It only starts to record videos when the AI detects human motion. You can also enable constant 24/7 recording. (If you decide to use 24/7 recording the SD card can hold 72 hours of video footage or about 3 days worth).

Would not recommend at all as the camera has a mind of its own and focuses not where it’s meant to be. Quality is not there either. I’m very disappointed as I thought I was supporting an Adelaide based company. Makes me wonder if these come from temu as the return address isn’t the Adelaide address as listed on the website but an address to return to Sydney! Delivery was very slow. After a few weeks I had to email find out where my parcel was and then it came another week after contact.

I was looking for a camera with a large view point to cover a lot of area on my farm. This camera allows me to cover a lot of area with only one camera instead of 2. Also, the new AI detection algorithm is working good allowing me to see everyone coming on the farm day and night.
I like how the camera has a fixed POV and then a rotational PTZ. This allows for one area to have constant coverage and then this frees up the PTZ to patrol an area. This is ideal to prevent blackspots and potential intruders 'sneaking' past the camera. The App is good, and does the job. I would like Sentinel to introduce a much more up-to-date app like some cameras have. Overall, I am very pleased.
Picture quality is fantastic and the pan and tilt feature is so helpful. The two way audio is clear and records well also. Video quality is great. Being able to rotate it to check around when a notification comes through gives more peace of mind than going outside to check! The setup is super quick and easy as well - I like that it is powered by solar. It takes a MicroSD card up to 128GB. I ended up purchasing a second one after my first was set up because I was so happy with it.
Quick delivery and such a great device. It is effectively 2 cameras in 1 device. I use it to monitor the back of the house and the side of the house at the same time. Image quality is pretty good 👍 would recommend!
Over all I’m happy with the cameras, love the fact that I don’t need to pay a cloud subscription to access the saved imagery. The installation of the cameras was easy, the only problem was trying to get the camera to see in opposite directions, the rotating camera, can get close but not all the around to face the opposite way to the the fixed camera. I have found the person detection AI to be buggy, I have had it tell me posts are people and washing on a line really sets it off even chairs seem be called people. Tuning the detection area in the app has helped reduce the number of false detections, but it is still happening. The picture quality is ok even in HD, it is hard to make out number plates when a car is in the driveway, you can work it out, if the car is on the other side of the road, say in the neighbors driveway it is to blurry to read.
I have been using a 4G model (with solar panel and SIM card) for several months on a cabin that I have in the woods. I'm so pleased that decided to get this model to use at home. With this model you get 2 cameras. One that is still and another that rotates almost 360° which is great to avoid blind spots. Connection wise, can either telstra or optus. Also very easy to setup, taking 5-10min to get it up and running. So far have only tried it at home, but very pleased with app and camera response, motion detection and the video quality is superb for the price. Once it stops raining, will have it installed outside. Judging by the experience with the other model, there will be no problem with water.
I have previously used WI-FI cameras with the best results and ordered this camera to monitor my garage door at the same time! left side of the lot. The camera is very easy to install to get complete control over what you need to monitor. Crystal clear image both day and night time. Thanks to two separate lenses, this camera can monitor two completely separate areas and that makes the camera very affordable. The camera works with 2.4 which makes the response much faster. You can insert an SD card to store your alarms or video recordings. If you choose a flat recording of 24/7, the camera overwrites the oldest recordings automatically when the card is full. Summary: This camera is the best I have owned so far and I highly recommend it and all other products. etc.

Just installed the camera today. Easy to set up and install. Switched to HD and the picture quality is phenomenal. The night vision is very clear and the spot lights come on when movementis detected. I love the motion control, it's spent the day following my cat around the garden ??. I don't have any negative feedback to give as yet. It's a brilliant camera. If anything changes, I will update review. So far I'm very happy
I was looking if a camera to cover a blind spot in my back yard and came across this dual zone camera. After my order arrived I quickly swapped out my existing Sentinel fixed camera and replaced it with this one. The set up, like all my other Sentinel cameras took less than 5 minutes and it was up and running. I am now able to cover the existing area and incorporate the secondary rotational tracking to cover all blind spots. The intelligent tracking is accurate and humanoid identification is just as good. Adding this camera to my existing Sentinel camera surveillance system is a true upgrade. The best part about Sentinel cameras is that they do not use a “cloud” based recording system and there are no subscriptions to pay for. I recommend this camera.
Well priced,was very easy to setup and conect to my network giving me extremely good live and recorded quality footage. Have twin cameras gives you the opportunity for fixed recording as well as tracked.
Had some initial frustration with the pairing of the camera. Hint: It pays to read the instructions first. Easy after that! Works really well and clear images both day/night. My only suggestion is in the app. I couldn't find anyway to delete individual recordings. Seems to only delete once sd card is full. Individual clips can be downloaded and saved elsewhere if wanted. All in all a good quality, well priced camera
We purchased our first Guardian camera a year ago right after our car was vandalized. Since then we have viewed several incedents to share with nieghbors and police. We have FIVE in service and this month purchased an additional 3. We have a large lot and these cameras cover the area nicely. Extraordinary visions easy installation alerts set to phone via e-mail. 5 cameras in service multiple years in the Great White North frigid cold heavy wind and large amount of snow. No problem. Several self induced issues, contacted service and they assisted me through them .Free HIP2P computer program and we have 23 inch monitor in service and able to view all cameras. These 2 GB20IH CAMERAS WITH DUAL lens is exactly what I we need for our hidden gates. Once weather settles will be installing them. Great Product with impressive service.

As a person that uses other security cameras this isn’t bad but it’s not outstanding. The app has paid advertising which doesn’t give that security feel and track with cookies. Also features need to be subscribed too. The double cam is a plus but zooming is pretty poor. To just keep an eye on stuff it’s fine, for proper surveillance and getting license plates or clear pics of people this is very lacking. Easy plug n play setup. If your after a general stand alone solar this will work.
I have not had it long enough to give a full review. The camera itself is not too bad but the App leaves a lot to be desired. A much improved user friendly App would make using the camera easier and fulfilling.

Ordered with 64mb Sim cards not delivered. Not easy to figure out how to use. Im glad I have cameras on site that r solar powered.
Very easy to put up etc. But, the instructions are so small even with a magnifying glass it was hard to read. There are almost no instructions on how to set the parameters of the cameras, I asked, was told to email info, I did and no reply! I still don't think they are working anywhere near their capacity. Sorry but poor after sales service means I won't recommend them at the moment.

Dropshipped product from China. Requires a paid subscription to unlock the basic features. Doesn't detect cars, humans or anything on the highest sensitivity settings because there's a paywall to have the advertised features. There is no 24/7 Ai unless you pay. Stated detection range is false. Night time range is better, though. The app is full of overseas ads, even with ads turned off. Absolute junk. Doesn't do anything it claims, except connect to WiFi.

I am in my 70"s, so a little conservative when buying things. Have been after a security camera which did not tie me into contracts and the Guardian fits this requisite in spades. Easy to install, great video feed and no wiring. Using Wi-Fi. Had an issue with drop out from wifi but resolved by reinstall. Manuals are basic, print too small but to make up for that really great response time from their customer support team. Really happy. One suggestion. Delivery was about two weeks with no ability to track (at least for me) so that could be improved. Les Grumpy Old Man in Australia
